First Two Days: A Tour of Rome, Italy
A 15 hour flight didn’t stop us from hitting the town on our first day. First off, getting to the actual city of Rome from the airport is not as quick as you think. The airport is about a 45 minute ride to the city (18 mi/30 km). Driving from the countryside (Leonardo Da Vinci Airport) we entered the city through the ancient city walls and then on to our AirBnB, where we met out host, Luigi.
Our AirBnB pad was an awesome converted first floor apartment that nay have been as old as Rome itself. The walls were ancient brick but with a modern and stylish interior. The bathroom was a cave!
